I currently have one in my 10gal, 8gal and 2.5gal hooked up to sponge filters w/out issue. The airline tubing provided is complete garbage though and should not be used (will melt and flake off into slimey goo) - replace w/ some cheap petstore line and you should be good to go. |

They do only last for about 6-7 months before they either start making a sound that drives me nuts or stop working all together. They usually putter out, it will shut off randomly and I'll go to pick it up and it will start up again, run for awhile and then eventually die. So at least there's a heads up that it's about to be dead for good. |

One of them stopped working in less than a year but heck - they are cheap. Gone are the days of the old school ones that hum and rattle. When I say quiet I mean these things are almost silent. And they do have enough power.. I doubted that at first based on looks but like I said, I have 3 now. |

I saw recommendations for this pump, and decided to try it out.The pump is incredibly quiet, so quiet that the bubbles created by the included air stone cover the noise made by the pump itself. The bubbles are pretty substantial considering how little power the pump requires.I tested the voltage on the pump, and found that it operates at 5V, 0.13A. If you restrict the airflow exiting the pump, the amps jump to 0.2A. I tested this to confirm that using a 5V/1A vs 5V/2.1A USB charger would not make a difference.I pulled back the blue cover to figure out how this works. It appears to be a DC motor attached to a tiny custom pump. These are available for cheap from China, but don't come with an airstone, plastic cover and USB cable, making this a pretty good deal. Definitely not waterproof, however.Here's hoping that this pump lasts, as I will consider buying more for additional tanks in the future. |

I use these on all 7 of my tanks ranging from 29 gallons to 2.5 gallons and it works wonderfully and SILENTLY on all of my sponge filters! No more annoying buzzing noise! Just bubbles! |

Before you knew what hit you, this mini usb air pump, plugged in and all, sneaks up behind you and attacks. You hadn’t heard a thing, it was as quiet as a ninja. However, its attacks were weak, and fails at robbing you.10/10 so quiet it could rob me, weak enough for me to win |

A small disk style stone really helped that issue. However the flow was just too strong for my betta and if you've ever had one you know they ain't havin it. Fear not, there is a hack I've found btw!
