by Lloyd Hughey on 2011-10-20 10:22:13 | | Camera is Awesome!Delivered to Houston, TX USA in four (4) days. Camera is exactly what I was looking for. It's small and fits on my Jeep perfectly. The picture quality is more than I expected and I'm extremely pleased with the video and quality of the camera. Will buy again!

by Mike Bailey on 2011-10-12 14:05:58 | | Only one issue. This is a very good camera for use with most race cars. The only problems that I am aware of is when solid mounted to the roll bar of a formula car with a solid mounted engine (such as a Formula Ford) the camera will turn off after a couple of minutes due to vibration. I've tried several different units, all exhibited the same behaviour, so I have ruled out a faulty camera as the problem. Our solution has been to wrap approved roll bar foam around the bar where we have the camera attached. My customers running Formula Vees have found mounting the camera to the fibreglass bodywork woks fine. In sedans we have found a polarizing filter is needed if mounting further back in the car (so the driver can be seen), however mounting close to the windshield works fine without filter. One of my customers prefers mounting the camera on the roof of his Camero to get a 'birds eye' view f his racing competition, this works well in all weather.
One of my customers has had several battery fail when leaving the camera inside a closed car on a hot sunny day in desert climate, we suspect the windshield may have magnified the sun's heat combined with the black camera absorbing the heat backing the battery. His extra batteries were not effected until placed in the camera under similar conditions.

by davide on 2011-07-04 10:05:16 | | 1st impression very positive.I just received the Poseidon camera today. very well equipped with several mounting tools. everything of the description was included. i didn't have chance yet to try it action, i bought it mainly for mtb use, but i'm planning to do a kite surf course soon. i tried it home with an SDHC card of 4gb class2. it shows me 1h 19min recording capability in HD and 2h 1 min in low def. i made a short video of the house, mounted on my mtb helemt (very intuitive to mount) at night time, with lights on, having a look outside as well and the I've looked at the video on my pc. the video was recorded in HD and watching in full screen in my laptop showed a great quality, considerign the absence of the night mode the sensibility to the light outside is not bad at all. ( i saw a video on utube of a guy recording while driving his car at night and its very satisfactory). i then plugged the camera to my 42inc hd plasma tv, (not fully hd) through the HDMI cable included in the box. the quality of the video is ok, not great, problably because of the highest definition of the tv ( it was in full screen, problably i should have reduced to original size). I am looking forward to use it in action, this weekend i'm going to ski and i'll take it over, altough user manual suggest to use the battery between 0 and 40°C. A bit of concern is from the fact it doenst appear to have the image stabilizator, so used in action it may result in shaky picture. other thing to add is also the memory card, few websites on internet suggest to use at least a class6 SDHC card for a 720p video, others stating that class4 is ok, others saying class doenst really matter, bit confusing... i'll buy a 16 or 32gb card soon, class 4or6, depending what kind of deal i'll find and i will write a further review once i've used in proper condition. Ciao a tutti!

by Graeme Sharkey on 2011-06-07 11:28:20 | | ExcellentI bought this camera a couple of months ago, also 2 spare batteries from another supplier. When I opened the box, I was amazed at the contents and quality. At the price, I was expecting cheap plastic, but the value of the cables, various mounts etc is probably about half the cost of the kit. I have had this mounted on my mountain bike - Brilliant. Done capsizes and rolls with it fastened using the suction mount to my kayak -Brilliant. Fastened to car in excess of 50MPH. Stayed on (but will be using a tether line as well in future for that project. The video quality cannot be faulted unless you want to mention barrel effect due to the great 120 deg wide angle. Losses no picture quality and is well worth. Have edited movies in Pinnacle Studio 15 HD, no problem. Even the sound is acceptable. Hint: to reduce wind noise, piece of foam or suchlike just behind the laser will help. Used on kayak, no water droplets on lens. to see kayak shots, goto www.ringmaster-uk.com/kayak. My brother was so impressed he's bought one of these cams, and along with a camera pistol grip, uses it for some general video work. ***** Recommended. Only thing is Can't find details of a manufacturers website for technical suport. Recommend use 16GB Class 10 SDHC card. approx 5 hours HD film (more if VGA mode). Spare batteries available online for approx £4 as battery life is approx 2 hours.

by Martay on 2011-03-28 09:36:36 | | Very happyGot it quick, and work well, although the mic is very quiet, but had it in the rain lots, and its all good, saves video at 5 min intervals, and battery lasts well, using 8gb sd card, get just over 2 hours full hd video, has a date and time stamp as well if you want.

by Alex Nauta on 2010-12-17 06:56:09 | | Great!Got it today, via DHL. Tested it on my Tippmann M98 paintball marker, and the camera seems to deliver nice quality 720HD footage, even when shooting the paintball marker.
Love to see this kind of camera with a full-metal housing.
