Good phone so far, but can't get Skype video call to work.

my observations:
chinavasion have the fastest order sent out time and the best customer care service
FORTIS-X observations:
minus :
camera 5 mpx- the taken picture is realy not the best
led flash could be brighter
need special long micro usb conector, with standard micro usb can not be the battery recharged
rubber cover of micro usb is broke away after month of use
battery life is short, need recharge every day
plus:
fast cpu with a good capacitive touchsceen.
green and red extra buttons to make calls
body of the phone is really unbreakable-a few times already phone fell down and remained without damage

The phone is excellent. I've had it for two days now and every function seems to work fine. I was expecting a bit more volume from the speakers were incoming calls are concerned but apart form that, the phone has performed flowlessly. I cannot bring myself to submerging it though! Guess that will have to happen accidentally!

this phone is good but the battery life is short it dosent last for long i don't know why just hardly one day otherwise this is a good product

I love this phone but I do not even try to put the moin one minute underwater

great phone just what a farmer needs. also use the gps for my hobby geocaching. Thanks for the extra battery wasn't expecting it. now need an extra usb cable as other micro usb cables won't fit in the mould of the casing. this fell on the first day now i need a new screen protector but phone not even scratched. ~Tom Northern Ireland

Just received and started using today-so far so good. Specs are all what I need: tough, waterproof, unlocked quadband, and 2 active sims.
For those in the U.S. I've got a NET10 unlimited everything sim in one slot and a T-Mobile voice only in the other slot, both are active so I don't have to drag around a spare phone for my T-Mobile number.
I had to google instructions for setting the APN for the NET10 card, hope this helps:
hit search key (11 in Manual)>Settings (button appears lower right corner)>Wireless & networks>Mobile networks>Select Subscription>Subscription 1(or 2, depending on slot used).>Access Point Names>hit search key (11 in Manual)>"New APN" button appears lower left> fill in data from SIM as needed. Proceed to rock and roll as necessary.

After my friend saw this pnone i bought here, he wanted the same, so I bought the second one. High quality, it works perfect. No cons. Came well-packed, the battery works for 2 days using all functions-GPS, internet and listening music. Headphones iincluded are ok for handsfree calls, I use mine for music. Highly recommended!

Received today, a well built phone with a bright screen and good resolution, fast cpu with a good capacitive touchsceen. Only a remark, the specifications above are incomplete, it have a proximity sensor and the compass work, this means that there is a magnetic field also.
I've tested for some time and feel good with everithing except the main camera that is'nt exceptional.
I think i've found my definitive smartphone.
Also received in very short time , only vive days from order to Italy.

I am a farmer and I needed a ruggered phone. Driving around all day on a motocycle in all types of weather is no good for regular phones, especially when there is an afternoon thunder shower. I had just drowned my 4 month old Nokia smart phone in a water trough while I was fixing a pipe. Now I don't need to worry!

The phone is a bit heavier than other smart phones, but this is to be expected. Clear screen and almost perfect touch input. Even the rubber buttons on the side (volume, light and camera) respond nicely. Pitty the power button was not counter sunk. It sicks out the top and is accidently pressed while in top pocket of a shirt. The USB port is also a bit "deep" and the rubber flap does not allow "short" cable ends. You really have to be careful putting the cable in. I bought a USB backup battery/charger that doesn't reach. My wife has stolen it for her phone.

As far the actual working of the phone? Well it is just like any othe Android phone. The manual is very brief, so you will need to lookup a lot of the Android stuff on Google.

Nice to have an extra battery thrown in. Just don't expect a fast change. The screw on batter flap is tight (to keep water out).

I like the phone. It does just what I want.
