My experience is that it requires at least a 8gb mem card, but it really captures where you've been and who ran the red light. Very reasonable price, however the competition is heating up and these things are getting really cheap. short warantee period. I have had my DVR for 16 months. The warantee ran out four months ago, and the device went dead this week. My advice: tie the DVR to your sunscreen, because the windshield suction device is not reliable, and when it lets go the DVR falls and jerks on the power cord, which is what probably did mine in. I am going to buy another, however. |

This one, so far, I an impressed with specially for the price. It has a screen you can close so people do not see the screen but yet it's still recording. I like the fact that as long as it has power, it will keep recording so I just let it run all of the time. When my car is parked, I still have some security. The video is very clear during the day, I have not used it much at night so I cannot make informed comments on that portion. Well packaged. As for bad points, the screen menu was in Chinese so I could not figure it out until I went through every screen to see English language, selected that and after that it was good to go. Shipping was a bit slow and the manual is not worth even looking at, yes that bad. |

The menu system is easy enough to navigate. Daytime recording is very good. I have not tried it on a night yet. For a cheap dvr and the peace of mind it gives by knowing an insurance company, 3rd party and the police cannot dispute the video evidence - you cant go wrong with this. Non as yet but it is early days |

Similar price, but it actually produces 720p video(720 verticle lines, progressive scan, in true widescreen), unlike the other ones which 'say' they do. At 65 MPH with oncoming traffic- you can stop the video and tell what kind of cars they are, and what kind of hubcaps they have. Truly a good deal and high definition video. I've had mine for over a year, and just caught and accident with mine, and the police were envious of my video capture technology...and grateful too! I highly recommend this product. r- Suction mounts in hot (Arizona US) weather do wear out after a good hot season, so order up extras if you live in hot climates. Otherwise, no bad points at all. |
