Took a while to use the devise to the full potential. Once I upgrade to a new router and than the network,all came together for the true streaming to come alive. The manual sucks. Have no regrets in my purchase. The update firmware on the unit is not clear, Think this the somba firmware.

Hi, got mine 2 days. All seems to work. Point is that manual is very concise. It does not tell for example that USB devices cannot be larger than 320 GB otherwise it will not read it. Only confusing thing is NETWORK. I have ethernet plugged in, and I can use IMS but under NET I cannot access my laptop for example. Under UPNP it shows my devices but then restarts the player automatically. Anyone can help?

And my expectations were high. First off it got here in three days and I live in Edmonton,Canada. "THAT" is world class service! The media player itself is a beautiful design black sleek and small ,it's look is deceiving I mean how can ALL that power be in one little box? Well it is and much much more, it works much better than my expensive handmade computer for pictures, videos and music. I can slave my 1TB USB drive right to it no problem, it has played every video I have I have tried and I have lots of Kpop HD videos. This is now my third purchase from Chinavasion and every time I am impressed with there product quality and customer service they are now my online store for whatever i need and they have ☺☺ BTW this thing plays ISO images of DVDs just like a DVD I had a bunch of ISO images ripped to my drive was not sure if they would play but this player has it all !!!☺

Leuk apparaat maar uploaden gaat traag, terwijl downloaden weer wel snel gaat via een giganetwerk.
0,25Mb haalt hij net aan met iets er naar uploaden, downloaden schiet hij wel over de 11Mb en das goed voor een 10/100 apparaat.

It has been 6 months now and I still have not found a video file this unit can't play. It never fails to play all my videos on my network with no staggering or loss of connection, futher more I have change my type of network connections from wifi, bridged and even ac outlet networking. It always connects immediately and I have never had to change any of the units settings. Can't say the same for my Western Digital HDTV live box which can't play mkv files well or some mp4 files. This is the ultimate media player in my book, nothing else I have tried even comes close. It has been totally hassle free and even makes the lower resolution files look great. I don't normally brag so much about any product but this one makes me so happy I just feel I have to share it with others. You won't be disappointed. I give you my word.

After having used a few of mefdia centers, this one ROCKS!!
It plays everything flawlessly, never hangs, wonderfull 1080p crispy detailled picture!

I received the unit with in 4 days of ordering. From China all the way to Florida. I purchased a hard drive and it slid right in with no problems what so ever. I download all kinds of video formats on a daily basis and I haven't found one yet it can't play. Video play back is always smooth even on high bit rate vob files. The menu is extensive and the unit seems to do everything you can imagine. The housing is metal and looks great. Also, the external power supply quit working 3 days after getting the unit but found another one at Radio Shack with a higher amp rating and haven't had any trouble since. Finally, the remote has to be aimed directly at the unit and I do mean DIRECTLY at the unit or it wont respond. Those things aside, I have owned quite a few media players and this one kicks some serious butt. If you have an HDTV and want an awesome picture and a unit that does direct internet streaming and a whole lot more this is the king of them all as far as I am concerned!!!!!

Heb hem net een paar dagen binnen, maar tot nu toe voldoet hij goed, wifi dongel werk ook perfect, stream gewoon de films vanaf mijn computer. Heb er ook een 2 tb hardeschijf ingezet. Werk ook goed. Kan alleen niet opnemen van af de kabel (UPC). Dit is wel jammer, maar moet wel kunnen als je bv digitenne hebt. Als ik hem langer heb en alles geprobeerd heb zal ik nog eens een reactie plaatsen.

I have a Western Digital unit, but this one blows it out of the water. The video play back is smooth and flawless. Has so many abilities and options! Unlike my WD unit I can't find a file it can't play. Hard drive slides right in with no problems! Beautiful housing and the remote is full sized. Shipping was, as usual, lightning fast, had it in 4 days. Honestly, I can't think of anything more I could possibly want in this type of unit. Exceeds all my expectations! Thank You Chinavasion!
