by Bert AndrewsIRL on 2013-07-22 05:24:43 | | Bought this camera in Jan 2013.It's on 1080P all the time. I have it plugged into cigarette lighter all the time. Mounted in front of rear view mirror. Hard for anyone to notice it. Turn the ignition on the camera starts recording. Turn off the ignition and the camera stops recording. You never have to touch it. Just let it record away.
Night recording will depend on the area your in for example if your driving down a road with no street lighting. The field of recording will only be the area in front of your car from your headlights. If your driving in a well lit city main st area the quality of recording will be a whole lot better.
Records good quality sound as well. Overall I would have no problems recommending it.

doesn't record automatically when you turn on your vehicle. you have to set it to record mode. video display on screen goes off after a few minutes of recording which defeat the purpose of having the display screen. kinda bulkly too. |

Image quality is really good even at night. The power cable was really long so I was able to really do proper cable management. Out of the box it simply starts recording. No need to even read the manual - no use really. It's so easy a caveman can do it. The features on it are pretty awesome too. G-sensor, GPS, 120 degree wide angle, 1920x1080p mind-you, 5mp camera for pics, motion detection, camera effects (dont need it), and more. What's also good is the size. I put it right behind my rearview mirror for discreteness. It's well hidden.
The quality and features both combined make this an easy choice against other 300$ camera models which I used in the past. As if the other ones werent made in china using different hardware lool. Seriously, get this if your smart and don't spend a dime on a more expensive one. There's absolutely no need unless your rich and dumb.

by David Hofmann on 2012-10-05 20:17:05 | | Great quality videoThe image quality is great. It shows a very good image even in difficult lighting situation. The length of each recording can be adjusted and there is no time lost between the individual clips! (Some cheaper cameras lose a few seconds!) It has a small built in battery so even when the power from the car is interrupted (in an accident) the camera keeps recording and the video files are saved. The viewing angle is wide to give you a good sight. The camera itself is very small and runs completely automatic. Just start the car and the camera will start recording. It will record endless always deleting the oldest video file. At the highest resolution it will record about 2 hours of video on a 8 gb card. It supports up to 32 gb cards. Sound quality is also pretty decent. Comes with a long power cable and all other cables. It does not come with a memory card. All in all, it is a great camera well worth the money! I highly recommend it.
