Well that's what I ordered, instead I was sent black 10lb..Just holding this line left black dye on my hands.I probably just throw this line in the back of my closet full of fishing junk.Now I got to find another brand of black braid line. |

I was telling my friends how good it was and how inexpensive!The second spool march 2021 proved horrible !!One day my rod fell on the floor, and the line just broke,( it had no tension on it)I made a lot of cast where the line parted in mid air lead and rig just flew off to Toledo .I tried a dead weight test of 20lbs and could get the bucket off the floor, without the line breaking!As much as I inspected it, I could not visually see where the weakness was .I lost a couple of nice Steelhead learning the fact I had SOME REAL CRAP on my real .Don't buy this line most of us have to work real hard just to get a bump! Losing a hard earned fish and then losing it because the line can break arbitrarily is stupid.any one who could gave this line a good rating, rarely fishes.I wanted to get my money back but amazon only gave me a month to learn what trash this line is . |
by Unity USA on 2023-08-07 22:09:59 | | Well the line seems fine, except I'm not 100% sure which lb test or how much of it I have..After reading reviews I decided to peel back all my stickers I ordered 1000m 30lb which the top 2 stickers say but the bottom original sticker says 500m 50lb...It will still work for what I need it for but I definitely won't order again with the contradictory stickers... |

I cast off two different 2oz pyramid weighted rigs because the line snapped in two. Spend the extra money. You’re going to anyway replacing lures using this line. |

When you real the line in it's extremely loud as if something's wrong with your real. The sound is from the line being so abrasive rubbing in the eye of the rod. If you don't mind the noise and the fact that it may wear out your ceramic eyes then you may like it. After using it I didn't want to take the chance so I sent it back. |

We were fishing with the kids and the action hadn't been happening.The pole that had my OLD line on it, 30lb jBraid started bending. It was big. After a nice fight I landed a 36" 37lb Black Drum. It was awesome..,.THEN the pole bent with this line on it!! AWESOME. I ran to get it and line started spinning of the reel. I let him run for a minute and set the reel from free spin to retrieve. The fish started to run again, and line instantly POPPED.I was extremely disappointed, but you get what you pay for. I landed several small gaffers and hard heads but the moment a big drum hit, the line didn't even give me a chance. When I got home I tried wrapping the line around a screwdriver, and pulling. It was really easy to break right off the spool. I wish I was still in the return period. |

Upon delivery, I immediately started testing it, as I have done with all my fishing lines, and I was able to break the line effortlessly on multiple attempts. There is NO WAY this line can hold 40 lbs and it even feels weaker than my 12 lbs monofilament Berkeley. Returning it. |

Put a 5lb weight on the line...simple knot. Line broke with a slight shake. This line absolutely doesn't hold it's claimed break strength. |

When it arrived i saw a big Made in China sticker...bigger than most "made in " stickers. When i was spooling my reel my fingers were left GREEN from the line. So much for the cheap color ink used. It also isn't as dark of green as the spider braid. The lines can fray if not cut with a very shard knife or scissor. Buy something else, havent had any breaks so far but quality seems very low |
by Maureen USA on 2023-08-27 12:25:03 | | I ordered 2 days ago and received it very fast, so I gave 2 stars for the speed of delivery. 0 star for quality.I have not yet fished with these line, however, I wanted to test out the strength of the line before putting them on my reel by tying them to a 20 lbs dumbbell and attempted to lift up the dumbbells.Result: NEGATIVE!!!these line snapped before I can even lift the dumbbell off the floor. I ordered 40 LB test line for $11 and some change. I am able to lift up a 10 lb dumbbell with these "40 lbs test braid", but not 20...RETRY: Used 30 lb MONO berkeley from Academy- I tried to lift the same 20 lb dumbbell again with my 30 lb mono and I was able to picked them up without snapping and dragged them around the floor without snapping.I'm not sure if this is a bad spool I received or "You Get What Ya Paid For" situation, but I will not buy these again.Probably can use these braid on a smaller reel for bait fish or MAYBE I will try them out and see...I doubt I will be able to land a 30 lbs + fish (bull reds or small to mid size sharks) without the line snapping.FOR THE PRICE it's very affordable for 500+ meters = 500+ something yards, but WILL NOT USE ON BIGGER REEL FOR SERIOUS FIGHTING FISH. |
