by Dexter Bandian on 2013-05-28 19:47:42 | | Good Device for the Price but ...Overall it works great. I bought two and should have bought more. Great BDay presents for family/friends who drives vehicles. Cons: The mounting bracket could be more articulate. IR in the rear facing camera would be better if dispersed wider. Night driving the IR is almost useless as it only illuminates the center of the car's interior. Point the rear camera to where the driver is, skews the front facing camera to the left (Aussies cars are right hand drive). Plus there's this icon beside the REC (top left corner) that is not described in the manual. Will try to reformat the SD card to hopefully get rid of it. Pros: Relatively easy to install and use. I like the fact that you can turn the mic off and the monitor if it's too distracting while it records.

Today it was so hot that i could barely touch it to install the memory card, but it works perfectly regardless. one time i bought this cheap ($60) DVR from another supplier, and it always died from the summer heat. This one has excellent picture quality, the GPS feature, and really good software for saving the videos. the saved videos look really good, and the picture is crisp and clear. Many of my friends and co-workers have asked about it, and i have recommended this site to them.

by GH on 2013-05-02 20:24:46 | | Really nice once I figured out how to view on MacWorks awesome! Couldn't get it to recognize the SDXC 64GB card at first on a Mac. But then fired up Parallels and clicked on the USB icon on the lower right of the Parallels window, and voila! Saw the JPlayer in Windows 7. Was able to see all my recordings, exported them to AVI on the Mac home folder and now I can share my recordings! Was pulled over by a cop for using a cell phone, but was actually just drinking a bottle of water. Now I have proof!
Uses about 4GB per hour of video. So my 64GB SDXC card should be good for about 16 hours!
Thanks Chinavasion! Will be buying more for my family and friends!

by waz red on 2013-03-22 07:37:11 | | 8 out of 10Pros; image quality good, easy to use. Cons; Only records less than one hour of footage then over rights, when 4GB memory card can hold more than 20 hours. Date and time wont auto correctly set in Aust, mounting bracket large, GPS cord too long, Power cord too short. Potential improvements; Display Auto off after 30 or 60 seconds-distracting in night driving. Improve software by making viewing area larger and putting words in the dialog boxes.

by Robert on 2013-02-27 21:50:05 | | Great camera angles. Great value. Great picture.Pro's: Works as described.
Cons: If the battery runs out, it looses time and date. Why not use the GPS to establish time and date automatically every time the devise pics up satellite? No Mac OS X support (and they tell you this up front if you read). I see another review saying it doesn't show the files ... well not on a Mac and they tell you that in the add. They also describe how to view on a PC. I wish the power cord was a bit longer so I can hide it. I guess I could reposition the camera.
