Performance (not critical for kids). However for this price it's not a big deal. Special shell - good for kids, but doesn't provide much options for setting up / personalizing. Factory installed shell doesn't allow you to save passwords for WiFi (at least I didn't find this possibility). However using 3rd party apps for WiFi management solves the problem. The same applies to many Android settings - additional apps can help you setting up the device. To summarize - this is a perfect device for your kid. And its disadvantages are overwhelmed by its price. |

(kids can't get into it that easy) + REALLY good for the price (the same tablet as non-kid edition would be nice) - only works in english and I've found no method for switching the language (but this is only important for Apps with language auto detection) - parental lock counts usage time all-in-all and not "per session", play 55 minutes, go to bed, start next day and after 5 minutes the "sleep lock" appears... |
