on 2011-10-31 10:47:03 | | Great price, decent quality, but could be a bit better...So, I'm kinda torn on this one... the toque quality itself is great, I really enjoy the feel of it and the fabric, but the mesh that covers the speakers really irritates my ears and I can't wear the beanie for very long before I can't stand it anymore, but I usually wear a really thin beanie underneath so it doesn't bother me as much. The speakers are not flat ones either, they seem to protrude about 2cm in a rounded cone. I have a different beanie with speakers in it that is made by bula, and although it's speakers are flat and it is louder than these toques it's ~$30 in stores and the speaker placement seems to be just wrong, expecting people to have their ears both at the back of their head where this beanie I can comfortably put both speakers easily over my ears and is only ~$6. The audio cable on these toques is VERY thin and I kinda worry about how long it will last and how well it would hold up in cooler temperatures, not to mention how easy it could be to forget about the toque being headphones and just rip the cord out when walking away from something like an airplane seat or just snagging the cable on your jacket when coming in from the cold. All in all, for the price I find this to be a very acceptable beanie with speakers, but to be a comfortable wear everyday one it would need someone to stitch some microfiber cloth or a headband over the mesh for comfort reasons. Audio quality is quite good though and I find that they have quite a good range without being aggressively loud or tinny.
