The tablet is quick to respond, sooth and fluid, and feels very robust.

The Wi-Fi is just awful, will just drop the connection out of nowhere. Very annoying.

5 star ratingGreat tablet for price

Very quick, a lot of internal memory, great build quality. Skype works well, Temple run is smooth. Recommendations!

4 star ratingSolid tablet, great price!

I've had this for a few weeks now, decided to buy it for my 5 year old son as well as myself. What I was looking for in a tablet is one that allowed my son to play educational and entertaining games, as well as watch movies when going on long road trips. I also was looking at cost; especially since younger children tend to drop things, so this wouldn't give me a heart attack if it happened! Plus I feel it’s beneficial for children to be exposed to current technology trends, but of course in moderation.

I feel the tablet is a solid build; it's sturdy and the back silver panel is plastic but doesn't feel cheap. Android 4.1 is quick; the touch screen is sensitive and responsive having only a 5 point multi-touch screen. I’m not sure if a 10-point would be a huge improvement for an 8” screen, so keep that in mind. Loading apps from Google’s Play store was a breeze, and I only had one app that wouldn’t install, WebMD. The screen is good, and unless you’re looking for pixels, you’re not going to see them. Video playback is smooth with the default video player that was installed. Text in my comics, emails, and web browsing were clean and sharp, so no complaints there. HD displays are nice, but I don’t feel that they’re worth the extra hundreds of dollars. Will you see a difference, sure. But you pay for what you get. 3D game-play was fluid and immersive, although I didn’t try any cutting-edge titles. I did not try the camera on it since the specs outlined on this page told me everything I need to know. I use my digital cam/phone for pictures and video. Battery life is decent; just bring your charger just in case. Also the charger is European, but it does come with an adapter for your country.

My two major complaints are that it will not charge when you connect it via USB to your computer. You’ll still need to plug in the power cable to charge the device. And the WiFi distance is frustrating at home; you’ll need to be close to the base to get it working. It worked fine at places that had free WiFi though. Sometimes I had trouble turning the tablet on from “standby”; it took me a few tries by pressing the on button, but I can’t really say if this is a tablet issue or the Android OS. Honestly it really isn’t that big of a deal since it doesn’t happen all that often.

It doesn't have a case that I could find on this site, but I was able to find one on another site that had a USB keyboard built in for around $5. Cheaply made; but it securely held the tablet, came with a plastic stylus pen, and a USB keyboard built in, although you had to get an adapter to convert the full USB to a mini USB which this tablet only supports.

To sum it up; great buy for the money! My girlfriend bought the “Diablo”, so I’ll review that too once I play with it this coming weekend…

4 star ratingGood tablet, but has some limitations

good inexpensive tablet, has nice looking screen, connects to wifi fine and runs most apps well, cameras is OK but not for photos
there are some apps on Google play store that this tablet is not compatible with. don't understand why,
Android 4.1 should work with all android apps.
