on 2010-09-23 15:38:01 | | Excellent PNA - IGO8 rocks, but needs a little helpThis is the 3rd unit of this family I have used. I have them running IGO8 in the cars and OsiExplorer in a microlight. This is the first unit with a decent HD screen (800x480) and as such the IGO8 needed some prompting to get the map screen to full size. The solution is easy - once you have done it...
rename the sys.txt file supplied in the IGO8 folder to something else (sys-old.txt) and replace it with this :
[interface]
resolution_dir="800_480"
vga=0
wide=1
[rawdisplay]
driver="GDI"
class="landscape"
highres=0
screen_x=800
screen_y=480
and save it as sys.txt. All maps will then work in full 800x480 and you will be delighted with the clarity and speed. Nice one ....

I was impressed by both, ChinaVasion and their customer service as well as the product. This machine is powerful. It ran Navigational software(S) smoothlessly without a hitch. Easy to get in and out of WinCE6 which I had no previous experience with. The set is an asset. Slim, sleek and sophisticated. I may buy another one for the aeroplane.
