i have a lenovo lephone and i would buy 1 next time but i wan't know if it possible with the new os.
I love this phone I got mine four weeks ago. I upgraded to android 2.3 it runs very smoothly the music and video apps are wonderful the only thing is the lack of customer support from lenovo I live in USA and the reps from lenovo here didn't even know they sold a cellphone. If you need support with this phone your best bet is android forums.
a lot of accessories (maybe you need a car-cigaretteplug-usb-charger like [CVRL-G270] and [CVMH-K72] look at chinavasion)
maybe CV can offer it as a bundle ? and the lenovo housing with keyboard would be nice too.
It's very quick; super display but in the bright sun, sound is good, camera is not so good but usable (need good light)
some is in my language some in english and sometimes there are chinese Words...
I hope soon we get android 2.2 and maybe in december 2.3 update (and full english/german)
connects to linux win, as memory drivers are available at lenovomobile (slow server from here) http://www.lenovomobile.com/itemdetail/support/A29/A2900000626_driver.htm http://www.lenovomobile.com/downLoad/PC/PC115.rar
the Win software driver and PC-suite from http://www.pandaapp.com/pandahome/android/ for contacts music apps ....
(but with wlan you dont need it realy urgent ) for developers install eclipse and android-plug-in http://developer.android.com/index.html -- lenovo has the right SDK for Lephone but the original sdk do it also.
conclusio: so much performance for the money compared with the competitors.
my colleagues envy me for it! hehe ... hohoho maybe a good Xmas-gift
Just received my lephone. In South Africa. First look and feel of the phone was great. As an advanced user I managed to get 3G up and running quickly. Like the simple setup options. Must admit this is my first android phone. Used to Windows mobile and symbian systems. Plugged phone into PC via usb. Was expecting Windows XP SP3 to pick up the phone. No such luck. Even with Internet searching enabled could not find drivers for Lenovo 3gw100 device?
Setup phone in USB storage mode. Detects USB Drive no Problem. Overall I am still impressed with my lephone.
