Overall a great product for an entry level 7" tablet. It feels solid and build quality is very good. The packaging is simple and quite attractive and the tablet is well packaged inside. It is quite intuitive to use, particularly if you're familiar with smart phones and other Android devices. You'll soon be finding your way around with ease.
Setting up the Wi-Fi is child's play. If you have a smart phone and can setup it up as a Wi-Fi hotspot then you have mobile Internet and email access. And of course, hooking it up to your Wi-Fi at home gives you those benefits too, and depending on your level of data bandwidth, without the limitations of the mobile network.
Accessing files to play or view on the tablet from across your home network via Wi-Fi is possible too, it's a simple matter of downloading an Android app for transferring files over WiFi. One I use is "ES File Explorer".
The audio quality though is not the best, it's quite low and rather faint via the external speaker. In quiet surroundings you can hear it OK, but in a noisy environment you'd be hard pressed to hear it. Through headphones the volume on max is adequate. On par with this is the battery power. 2000mAh drains fairly quickly when viewing multimedia, i.e. videos and multimedia via the Internet. So you need to keep a close eye on that. Paired with a solar battery charger (I would suggest at least a 5000mAh one) for when you're out and about you'll be good to go for hours.
Having said that, given the price range, if you're a first time tablet user and just want one to find out what they're all about then you can't go wrong with this one, at this price point it certainly won't break the bank :)
I give it 4 points on Ease of Setup/Use only because of the manual, it is a bit of a let down in this whole package. Thankfully the device is quite intuitive to use once you start playing with it. And as mentioned above, it helps if you're familiar with smart phones and other Android devices.
I looked at the manual briefly, but soon ignored it, it was too hard to read with ultra fine print and some of the English is just not very good at all. The manual seems like a last minute after thought and is very unprofessional looking. This aspect of these devices desperately needs attention. The poor manual cheapens what is otherwise a great product for the price.
I also give it a 4 in Function/Performance because the battery is a bit weak, unfortunately. As mentioned above it drains fairly quickly when viewing multimedia, i.e. videos and multimedia via the Internet. 2000mAh just is barely good enough for this sort of use. But for a budget tablet I suppose this is one way to keep the costs down. If you can live with that little inconvenience then you'll be pretty happy with it.
