by Neil NZL on 2014-05-19 03:26:56 | | Took 9 days from ordering to arrival on my doorstep which I thought was pretty good from China to New Zealand. Product was well packaged and arrived undamaged. I had a few problems setting up but these really all stemmed from the old Philips TV I was using and its poor implementation of the HDMI standard. The Android box happily outputs HDMI and composite video/analog audio signals at the same time. There is also an option to output analog audio and digital audio via TOSLINK (SPDIF) at the same time too. The box is pretty fast compared to a friends dual core unit. I bought this to stream movies/music from my Plex PC media server in a different room and it does this flawlessly. Netflix works fine using Unblock-US via the app or the web interface. Very happy with this unit and Chinavasion service (look and learn Deal Extreme, this is how you do it!!) The remote control is adequate but you'll really be better off getting the keyboard/trackpad that Chinavasion also sells or plugging in a USB mouse, at least while setting the Android box up. Entering login details on multiple sites is NO fun with the remote! One hint I can give which probably affects most Android boxes is if you aren't in the USA and want to install Netflix, first get an account with Unblock-US and follow their instructions to change your boxes DNS server addresses, then register with Netflix using a USA address (Google is your friend here!), then download Firefox, browse to Google, ensure you're signed out of your Google account(s), type in 'play store netflix', click install, login with your normal Google account details and the app will download. If you try it in Chrome or the Play Store on the box it will NOT work as it knows your location. HTH! |

It is exactly as described and works flawlessly. Best money i've EVER spent. Thank you Chinavasion for your amazing product. Good tidings to your company and families Many blessings It's a little different layout than a android phone/tablet and it has a little bit of "freeware" type software. But other than that if you fiddle around with the settings everything works fine. NEVER HAD A PROBELM. |

Value for money excellent, Packaged very well, set up on this box is very easy unless adding xbmc, which i have added to the bad points. Setting up xbmc you need to install a monthly build as the ARM Android Download does not run as smoothly as you would expect, this is due to the Chipset RK3188 not gelling to the xbmc hub properly, this can be overcome if you know which build to use, it is running very well now but you must find the right build, so that is my only bad point, but this should not stop you buying as value for money is excellent. |
