This is a good product: lots of light at a small cost. At 12V it uses about 24W (about 2A of current), which is a lot less than described, but perfect for my purposes. I added a modest heat sink and a small fan, and it stays cool enough that you can hold your finger on it and not get burnt. The color is great, not really well described in the details, but when it arrived the package said 6000K to 7000K, and that seems about right. I've got it over a saltwater aquarium, and it needs some blue light supplement to bring out the colors in the corals, but it's great on its own for mangroves, and would probably be all you need for a freshwater tank. It's very study, which makes if a little heavy with the heat sinks added on, but it's still much lighter than most lights I've seen with equivalent power. I've got it about two feet above the bottom of my tank, which is 12 gallons, and it's not quite enough light on its own, but if you put it closer it'd be more than enough to support corals (still need blue lights if you want them to look pretty).
