This little thing is amazing if you've got old floppy discs with no way to access them! I was very excited to find old family photos and pictures from my first science fair project. Very easy to use by plugging into a USB drive. I could see where this would make a great gift if you knew someone who has old discs laying around.
Bought this so I could retrieve old photos from floppy disks I hadn’t seen in almost 20 years. Worked great! Brought back so many memories that had been almost forgotten.
Last year I bought another brand floppy and it did not work. This time around I carefully reviewed the comments and noted that the information on the floppy I purchased clearly stated that it works on both 1.44 and 720. sure enough it works great even with Windows 10. My other computer is on XP. It works on both my computers and I am enjoying going through my 100 or so floppies and enjoying many things I had forgotten.
Plugged it in to a Windows 7 (32 bit) machine and went to Start/Computer and there it was. No drivers needed or any special configuring. Got access to files I saved back in 1997 and haven't seen since.
