I installed this on an outside 120V light fixture and it works well. The light stays off during the day and only turns on at night when it detects movement (from heat-emitting bodies, such as people). Seems to me that this should eliminate triggering the light from things like blowing leaves, unlike the radio frequency sensors. Note that it needs direct-line-of-sight to work. It does not work through glass or anything else. The light will turn on from about 20 feet away. Directions say 40W maximum load.

They work OK but there is no way to get the light to stay on permanently and device only keeps light active for about 20 seconds.
