This camera is really working all by itself. Some other models I tried needed a computer online for motion detection and emailing but this one, once cofigured, works as long as it can receive a wifi network.
Configuration software appears to be windows only but wait ;) ... all the config software does is finding the IP adress of the (at that moment ethernet-cabled) camera but you should be able to get that out of your router just as easy. From there you connect with your browser to that IP adress and that works fine from any OS (or at least OSX Firefoxas I tried). There you add your wifi network name and it works!
Video quality is surprisingly good (on my lan, not tested outside it yet) I can almost watch TV over it but would not recomment lip-reading :D
For the money, especially when taking into account you can point it around remotely, I think it is hard to find a better buy.
One remark, the build quality is reasonable good for the segment sold in, but I would not use it continuously in a professional environment. But who knows it could do that as well.
Maybe I'll be antother one and put it under a glass bowl outside. Good deal.

dear sirs
does the camera support motion jpeg (MJPEG video compression for transmission) so a feed can be watched on an iphone ?
Hi Daniel. Yes, this product uses MJPEG type AVI files. You can see more information in the "Recording Specifications" above. Thank you for your question.
camera is working great !!
very high resolution even over wireless, and the viewing from another computer (remotely) is preety good.
