Satisfaction yes!

This is the coolest DVR and multimedia system I have ever used. forget TiVo, and all the rest.... This one puts them to shame. I am very happy with the overall look and the heavy duty enclosure is great for out of country travel. The high definition looks great and the wide variety of media support is great. Also to see this unit work on the mac is awesome.... The only thing I think would improve this unit is firewire either 400 or 800... that would give better transfer times than usb.

Very Good

Very Good.
Pros: Record TV, DVD, SKY, VCR, interface, nice look, quality
Cons: No NTFS. No Manual.

Excellent quality - low price

I ordered this DVR to use it in the field for recording HD directly to disc with battery power.
It came without a hard drive.
I installed a 500gig Seagate and formatted it using the firmware provided. (They require that the firmware be transferred to the root of a thumb drive and inserted in the USB port before turning on).
Setup went without a hitch.
The formatting resulted in 3 partitions.
1 NTSC for housekeeping,
1 FAT32 for USB connecting and storage,
and one UDF that is used for recording.
If you want to export what has been recorded to a computer, you must transfer the file from the UDF partition to the FAT32. This is done without a problem.
I did a test with my Canon GL2 and the DVR recorded everything perfectly!

I want to use this device powered from a battery but have not yet tested it that way. I expect it to work flawlessly as it's power requirement is 12v DC @ 3.0a.
