Far less functional than expected, but still worth the price

I was able to set it up in all modes including (kind of) wifi repeat. In fact it is not exactly that, but rather a NAT extension of a single IP address from the parent wifi, and it creates its own NATed wifi network, so cross-connections are anything but simple. The most disappointing features are the (apparent?) inability to read NTFS drives, and also many USB SD interfaces. I also regret that the only disk sharing mode is either via web or SMB (windows network drive). It would have been wonderful to have a DNLA server to enjoy my media files from the device.
I found no trace on where I can downloard an upgrade. Who is the manufacturer? Is there a web site from which I can learn more and get support? SD doc gives no such clue.
But I want to conclude to a good mark: We were having a working group in a facility with very poor wifi. They mitigated by giving us a single ethernet cable. I connected this box at the end, and the whole party became addicted, so good was the wifi service it provided. Expect more sales.

Beautiful, but buggy - needs a firmware upgrade

The Poray portable USB/uSD disk / wired/wireless router / powerpack (PRP) is nice, but the documentation is on the disk and not viewable in the default configuration, and the browser help is minimal!
Note the details inside before you put in the battery: IP address: 192.168.100.1, uname/passwd: admin/admin - these are changeable, and resetable with 8 secs of reset.
Again, while it is beautifully presented, the labeling is misleading - the first warning is that the USB OUT socket is actually just a USB Power socket, not USB2 as claimed.

As soon as you turn ithe PRP on you should spot it in your wireless - and again you can set your own network SSID. For now put 192.168.100.1 into your browser to get to set up.
Note that the ESSENTIAL function of the 3G/DHCP switch is to switch between an external USB-drive (in the 3G USB socket not USB OUT) and the internal micro SD card.
At the top of the admin page you will see a NAS link which will give you access to which ever drive is selected by the switch at 192.168.100.1:6060
but you may need to refresh the browser a few times before it wakes up… If you set to DHCP for uSD you'll see Quick Start Guide under sda1.

The SECONDARY functon of the 3G/DHCP switch is to set the default mode on boot/power up (and if you change it while powered up).
But the 3G and DHCP modes are only two of five modes under the 3G settings tab in the admin page, overriding the switch.

I've had a lot of difficulty with both my 3G dongles - but sometimes I can get it to work. It often fails to modeswitch the dongle from drive to modem.
I also use 192.168.1.xxx as my local network, as do some hotels, cafes, etc. In this case I set the PRP IP address to the same subnet and use 3G.
If a router is being used in a normal LAN/WAN mode, whether with static or dynamic addresses, it doesn't pass up such private IP addresses.
Using 3G mode makes your ETH ethernet port operate as a downstream within subnet LAN port instead of a private IP blocking WAN port.
So far I haven't managed to get the WiFi Repeat mode to work in this environment - although I have got it to connect on occasion.
The WiFi Repeat mode is not documented in either the browser admin page help or in the Quick Start Guide on the uSD card.
Note that the use of the 3G mode to extend a private LAN works even if you don't have a 3G dongle plugged in.

Hopefully there will be a new firmware release soon to fix these problems… uploads in the admin web page.
