EXCELLENT ITEM

VERY GOOS ITEM, GOOD QUALITY DISPLAY, TOUCH PRECISION AND SOFTWARE SPEED.


Excellent!

Came very quickly (4 days via UPS to Perth). Installed easily (by a pro). Everything works well so far. Installed igo8 gps software into the supplied sd card (comes with Route66 and a map of Europe).

Only things that could be better are the dvb-t reception (can only pick up the ABC's and SBS's so far) as the supplied aerial is 3.5Db.... so order the 20 Db premium aerial if you buy a dvb-t unit: http://www.chinavasion.com/product_info.php/pName/premium-dvbt-car-antenna/ .

Also, unless I`ve not discovered how to do it yet, you have to press the 'open' button about 6 times for the screen to be out of the way enough to insert a dvd or sd card. Hopefully a future design will have a one-button press to open the screen all the way.

We bought the adjustable angle reversing camera with this, and it works brilliantly with this unit.

Some other buyers of units similar to this suggest to install a 30mm pc fan at the back to keep it cooler if you are in a hot country.

Overall am very impressed with this unit. Would give it 4.5 stars if that had been an option.


gps functions for europe

Great DVD DVB-T player. Proffessionally installed and works perfect, Very happy with results. The panel works just fine if held a couple of seconds longer. Buy a panel cloth and cleaner for maintainance clean. Yes it does lock in ABC and SBS but depends how close the transmitters are and any other interference like hills and concrete I still pick up the other main channels. But a wider db aerial would be much better as suggested.
The GPS system seems to be wired for Europe so without installing another GPS programme how or where are the functions for access to Australia maps using the installed route 66 software.
Or is there access? and I am wasting my time looking for the functions.
Otherwise I still thinks its great and so do all my extended family who all want one. I'd give it 5/5 after seeing whats on offer at major electronics stores here in Oz. The technician who installed it wants one, hows that.

Its a very nice car dvd player, the delivery was very fast and the chinavasion service is very good the only problem i have discoverd is . you have to push several times to open.
but overall its a good product and easy to operate. [Chinavasion Editor: Dear haa maasakkers, To open the the panel, just press the main button for a couple of seconds, the panel will then open in one motion.]
