well, i just got this today in the mail and have yet to try the video, but for the music its as simple as drag and droping the music files into the music spot in the watch. one major problem though: while music is playing the screen wont turn off. this sounds like a good thing but now theres an imprint of the date if you look closely at the watch. so basically dont leave the music screen up for more than an hour at a time. (anybody that knows how to turn the screen off while listening to music let me know becuase thats a major dissapointment)
New version?

I bought a coulpe of these recently (May 07): Very highly recommended. I don't know if they have newer firmware, but they don't have the limitations described in most of these reviews.
They play SMV files rather than NVX, these are around 200mb per hour at top quality. They also view JPG files without conversion and the clock can be switched between 12/24 hour format. The clock can even be left on all the time - But beward OLED screen burn if you do that! (No, I didn't know it existed before, either!)
Video size

I've been looking at these things for some time. Other than questionable quality of construction, the OLED screen alone makes it worth the price. The most likely reason for the enormous size of the video files produced by the software is that the video is actually being uncompressed. MP4 is just a container, not a codec. The software is probably using MP4 format to contain a raw YUV or RGB stream - these are essentially a series of sequential bitmaps with no compression at all. The calculations required to decode compressed (i.e. DivX, XviD) audio/video streams would require a lot more processing and therefore dramatically reduce battery life. In other words, it was a choice between fitting in 100+ hours of video that you couldn't watch more than half an hour of on a single charge, or fitting in 2 hours of video that you could watch all of on a single charge.
Great but needs improvements

I'll narrow down to the pros & cons
Pros: Crystal clear screen,Good battery life, amazing voice recorder
Cons:Bad strap,NXV format(video) will eat up the memory
All in all,its a fantastic watch & I'm glad I got one!

First of all I was kinda skeptic with the whole " China import" thing to the USA. I could not believe when I got the package and it was actually from China lol!! Anyway I got the watch and whiped it out the package and installed the software(Which was easy to install) Everything worked as described. I will be buying from Chinavation again!! So again USA customers you will recieve your product with a tracking # too!! Thanx Chinavation!!!

I recently received my watches and everywhere I go people ask me about them. It's really one of the best gadgets out. I agree with some of the previous reviews in that the screen shows very nicely, the sound quality is good also, the band could definitely use a better design, a better to understand user manual, user created perhaps :) it should be able to accept different video file formats to utitilize the most out of the 2 gigs, it would also be cool to have a built on speaker as an option. Overall, I am pleased with my investment. I have already placed an order for more and am sure that I will return again after those are gone! Thank you to my friends at chinavasion!!!

This is a very good watch for the money. It does everything that the product description says. Very good battery life. Super picture. Great sound. Nice fitting band except for clasp. Good software (could compress the video file size more). Was shipped to me very fast. I'm on the east coast USA. Could use more memory for long movies. Better written manual. The time/date feature should allow for 12/24 select format. The backlight should come on faster for telling the time. There is no alarm feature. The usb and head phone jacks should have some type of rubber protective cap. The strap clasp is kinda bulky. The ear jack is 2.5 , 4 segment. But you can adapt this using a stereo 2.5 to 3.5 standard jack, 3 segments. This does work, and now you can plug you watch into any amplified stereo or amplified speakers. It would be nice if the adapter was included. The watch over all is very good. If you are looking for data storage, mp3 (music) / mp4 (video) player / picture viewer, mic recorder, tells time, buy it. You'll like it, don't let the small con's keep you from buying this watch.

Hi!
I'm really happy about the mp4 clock, it's the best mp3/mp4 player I ever had.
But the bracelet got broke, and that's the bad with a non-trademark device. If this would be from Sony, or LG etc. The quality would probobly be better, BUT the price would go dubble...
+ OLED screen 1,5" huger then you belive.
+ Low price about 100-120$ for 2GB Flash memory
+ Nice comfort from the rubber-bracelet.
- Chinese quality from a unknown manufacter.
- NXV format, one episode of simpsons takes about 700MB at highest quality (DVD)
- The clock function is very nice, but theres only clock and date, - no alarm or time set. etc.
Design 4/5 Functions 4/5 Quality 3/5 Price 4/5
Overall: 15/20 Points
Needs firmware upgrades, and perhaps bigger memory, 8GB would be nice.
