Does this unit come with antenna's? No. For the AM/FM radio and the analog TV function you can use your cars own antenna or buy a separate antenna (an antenna signal splitter may be needed to feed both the TV and Radio antenna inputs).
Do I need to remove the piece of plastic which is sticking out the battery compartment of the remote control? Yes, please remove the little piece of plastic. It was inserted to keep the battery and the terminals separate so as to not waste battery power.

I've owned this item for nearly 2 years and it is still running with no problems. I can only point to 2 disadvantages: 1) The tilt angle of the screen that comes out is not memorized. You set the viewing angle to fit your height etc., but next morning the screen might come out and stay in a slightly different possition, and you have to readjust the angle. 2) It's not quite the most beautiful player. Other than that, all functions work as advertised, and they keep working with no problem for almost 2 years now. The USB and card slots can play everything you throw in there. I have used all kinds of USB sticks, up to 8Gb, and had no problem with compatibility. Same with a 2 Gb SD card. The remote control looks a bit primitive, but it has a lot of functions and they all work. The built-in TV tuner works fine, and is compatible with a car antenna made by pioneer.
