It should come as no surprise to anyone to learn that our Android phones and tablets consistently top the list of our highest selling products. Android and Apple tablets, plus the new Windows devices, are changing the way we think about computing, while the difference between phones and tablets is decreasing all the time, making our computer something we can keep in our pocket. These are exciting days for gadget lovers, especially anyone interested in mobile computing and the sales of Android and Windows tablets and phones reflects the excitement felt by consumers worldwide. Other popular items include our very affordable LED projectors that let you play games and enjoy movies and photos on a grand scale. LED projectors give you a cinema experience, with vibrant colours, crisp images and a bright, larger-than-life picture size. Finally, our Robot vacuum cleaner remains a consistent high seller. We wondered about this at the Chinavasion office. In the end, we concluded that our customers were having so much fun with our other products that they had no time to keep the house tidy and bought a robot cleaner to do the job for them. Clever!

Useful Gadget Terminology
- 1 DIN/2 DIN
DIN refers to an international standard size for car audio, DIN 75490, which was developed by the German standards body Deutsches Institut für Normung. The standard DIN refers to the size of the panel, and was adopted internationally in 1984. Car DVD players fitted in the car's panel, will usually be either 1 DIN (180mm x 50mm) or 2 DIN (180mm x 100mm). No international standard has been adopted for the depth of a car's DVD or CD player/radio.
- Android OS
The Android operating system (OS) was developed specifically for mobile devices by Google. It is a hugely popular mobile platform. Many technology commentators argue that it is superior to Apple’s iOS.
- GPS
GPS stands for Global Positioning System. It is a navigation system that uses a network of 24 satellites orbiting the planet to provide location and time information anywhere on earth. The software in your GPS receiver can take this information and combine it with map data to display your position. The technology also enables you to plan routes, find out about nearby locations and approximate your speed and journey time.
- IP
IP stands for Internet Protocol. An IP camera is a digital camera that can send and receive data via the internet or a Local Area Network (LAN). IP cameras are most commonly used for security and surveillance. Internet access means that the video recorded on the IP camera has the potential to be stored and viewed anywhere in the world. IP cameras usually transmit their data wirelessly, which means they don't require the installation of cable.
- Lumens
The brightness of LED projectors and LED lights is measured in lumens. The lumen rating tells you the overall brightness an LED light or an LED projector is capable of producing. To give you an example, an average car headlight is between 800 and 1,200 lumens. The lumen rating of one of our higher specification LED projectors is 2,200 lumens. A mid-priced LED flashlight can produce about 500 lumens.
Recommended Android Tablets
The more you learn about the Android "Diablo" (CVUZ-9410-XMAS) the more you realise how devilishly good it is! The specs speak for themselves: a 9.7 inch, ultra responsive capacitive touchscreen, a pin-sharp 1024 x 768 high resolution display, super fast dual core 1.6 GHz CPU, generous 16GB flash memory and a long-lasting 7,600mAh battery. Add to this, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, the smoothest, fastest version of Android yet, and you have a class act. In short, it’s a high performer with enough brain power and speed to cope with whatever you ask of it. It's also currently amongst our top sellers, which means that as a wholesaler or retailer you can be confident of a good profit. Here is what one satisfied customer said: "Very pleased with my "Diablo" tablet from Chinavasion, very fast, good graphics and sound. I'm gonna have a lot of fun with it. Thanks Chinavasion."
How To Compare Prices On Gadgets And Keep Up To Date
When comparing prices on electronic gadgets you may find similar products with different price points. The most common reasons for these variations are that newly released, recent technology items will usually be more expensive than lower specification or older products. Bigger screens, higher resolution, more inputs and outputs, wireless capabilities, more memory, longer lasting batteries, the latest operating system and extra accessories can all be reasons why products sell for higher prices.
At Chinavasion we are quick to respond to the latest developments, and source the newest and best electronic gadgets and products from China's factories. Our products come packed with features that match and often outstrip the major brands but at far lower prices. We are careful to source only the best quality products. Each one is tested before it is shipped to you, so you can buy in confidence.
Most popular gadgets and gizmos can be purchased online from websites such as Amazon and Buy.com, as well as from specialist gadget retailers like I Want One Of Those (IWOOT) in the UK and Thinkgeek in the USA. The quality and feature set of gadgets is improving constantly, especially if you compare today's products with what was available only a few years ago. In the future we expect to see Chinese gadget manufacturers gaining on the big brand firms in terms of component quality and quality of materials and out-stripping the big names in terms of innovation.
You can keep up with the latest gadgets on blogs like Engadget and Gizmodo. Other important tech news sites include CNET, Techcrunch, and ZDnet. In print you should check out the essential gadget magazines T3 and Stuff, as well as general tech publication Wired.
Tips For Sellers
When you're trying to optimise your webpage so that more people can find it on the internet, don't forget to think about the pictures you are using and how you name them. A good quality set of images showing the product from different angles, along with the included accessories can add to a customer's sense of security in you as a retailer and the desire they have for your product. Better still, you could consider making a video of your product, showing how it works or something fun you can do with it. If you make a really funny video it might even go viral, which could really help your sales. And don't forget to tag your pictures with keywords that are relevant to the product or category of product you are advertising. You can see what kind of tags other people are using by hovering your mouse over a picture for a few seconds. You'd be surprised how often websites miss these out, but they can make a difference when you are trying to inch up the search rankings - every little helps!
