Good product; needs extra documentation in a few areas. by S&L - on 2012-08-28 18:54:53

Australia - needed to purchase a BNC>RCA adapter in order to plug into standard LCD TV to configure camera - no mention of what the connector is in the manual in order to view video. Also, manual does not elaborate on what option to use to format micro SD card. So pls note - You need to format with FAT32. Once micro SD card inserted, reset camera and green led on camera will then communicate with micro SD card for recording. (Formating micro SD card with NTFS does not work). IMO would have been good if these two points were mentioned within the documentation & was resolved through our own troubleshooting. As for the camera, we purchased it for the ability to record to MicroSD. While it is a bit larger than expected in size it is light weight and well built for the price and functionality. You will need to purchase a microsd card if you don't have one. If relying on power, IMO the cable is short. Picture quality is clear in night vision mode. Colours are muted somewhat though. I am yet to see quality in daytime recording mode and playback (its night time here!). Overall, happy with product based on price and features now that we have it working.
